• 9, 10, 12, 13 notes are sufficient for beginners. The number of notes a handpan has does not determine if the handpan is superior or inferior. More notes increase musical possibilities but may complicate learning, understanding and mastering the handpan.

• When used correctly, stored properly, and maintained timely, handpans will not easily go out of tune.

• It is important to avoid collisions, dropping the handpan, or striking it with other hard objects during regular use, as such impacts can cause deformation and result in the handpan going out of tune.
